About Us

Metro Distributors, Inc. was started by its founder, George A. Martin, in 1949.  From 1949 to 1982 George was a true pioneer businessman as he created good will and a very large customer base all the way up to his death in 1982.  His legacy to this company is the key to its existence today.  Many of the customer relationships formed by him are still in existence today!

In 1982, his son Joseph A. Martin continued the company, during which time it was transitioning from a single product (the re-chrome bumper) to multiple product lines (the aftermarket parts and the re-manufacturing of the plastic bumpers).

From 1982 to 2003 the company held fast to their mission statement and experienced tremendous growth. In 2003, Metro Distributors, Inc. began to search new avenues to increase their presence in the marketplace. A year later, they moved into their new 10,000 square foot warehouse in Riverside, California. Where they are able to warehouse aftermarket parts as well as recondition urethane bumpers, and in late 2007 an onsite alloy wheel reconditioning facility was installed.

The mission and plan for the company has always been and continues to be:

Hard work, good prices, great customers, dedicated employees, good image, honesty, as we continue to build goodwill in the marketplace with the automotive collision repair professionals “ as we have since 1949”. As we continually strive to improve and prove ourselves daily! Always remaining teachable as we maintain professionalism, integrity and dedication. As Metro employees stay synchronized with each other, providing continuity and total service to the customer, always with three specific goals in mind always:
